With regard to paracetamol requests, we apologise however we will continue to ask patients to purchase this item over the counter.
We are trying to reduce the risk of infection to patients and staff. Can we ask that if you attend the surgery to come alone unless you have a carer.
Patients receiving repeat medication are being asked to either phone the prescription line 0191 2380010 or use the online service REPEAT MEDICATION ONLINE SERVICE please try to avoid attending the surgery to order your prescription. We would like to get as many patients signed up to Electronic Prescription Service EPS which will allow us to send your prescription direct to your chosen chemist. To sign up to this, please contact us on email@example.com with the name and address of your chosen pharmacy – please inform us of your name and date of birth when emailing us. Some pharmacies are providing Stop Smoking Services and currently provide telephone support to stop smoking. This is instead of face-to-face support in consultation rooms. Click HERE for more information.
CHANGES TO BABY CLINIC If you are bringing a child to baby clinic for his/her injections, please try and limit the attendance to one family member per child. We are trying to reduce the risk of infection to patients and our staff. Would you like to be part of the Covid-19 research studies? Read more HERE There are currently 2 national coronavirus vaccine studies approved by NIHR in the UK, run by the University of Oxford and Imperial College London. There are strict rules on safety and confidentiality that all health research, including vaccine studies, must follow.

The Practice has developed this section with the help from our Patient Participation Group. Our aim is to offer teenagers lots of useful information and links to resources relating to health and well-being. We have 506 patients registered at the practice between the ages of 13 and 19 – this equates to 7% of our practice population.

Young people are entitled to confidentiality as other patients. This includes respecting their wish to withhold information from parents or guardians. Confidentiality may only be broken by a health professional when the health, safety, or welfare of the young person would otherwise be at serious risk.

Need an evening or weekend appointment? TyneHealth [North Tyneside’s GP Federation] provides patients registered in North Tyneside with the opportunity to book appointments in local Extended Access GP Hubs.
The appointments are provided by local doctors and nurses who work in North Tyneside GP practices and have full access to your medical record. Appointments are currently being offered at the following locations:
- Battle Hill Health Centre
- Collingwood Health Group, Hawkeys Lane, North Shields
- Northumberland Park, within Shiremoor Resource Centre
- Oxford Centre, Longbenton
- Priory Medical Group, Albion Road, North Shields and Tynemouth branches
- Woodlands Park Health Centre, Wideopen
You can make an appointment to see one of the following clinicians:
- Advanced Nurse Practitioner (Who can sees minor injuries and ailments)
- Practice Nurse
- Healthcare Assistant
The Extended Access Hub operates:
- Monday to Friday 16:00 – 20:00
- Saturday 09:00 – 14:00
- Sunday 09:00 – 13:00
- Bank holidays 09:00 – 13:00
Appointments can be booked by contacting your own GP surgery or via the TyneHealth Extended Access Hub number 0191 486 2195 when your GP surgery is closed.
Please note that opening times and services offered at different venues will vary. Please also note that this is NOT a Walk In service and that appointment times and availability may vary. Patients will be given an appointment at the most convenient location for them.
